Aftershock Nepal
Aftershock Nepal is about the aftermath of the April 2015 earthquake, an attempt to chronicle a troubling period in a nation’s history. Our aim is to capture the voices of ordinary people, voices that would otherwise be unheard — and through such everyday stories, by connecting communities, we hope to play a small part in helping the rebuilding of Nepal.

Access Dorset TV 
ADTV was conceived in 2013 to overcome the challenges of exclusion, by creating a participatory platform of marginalised voices that can communicate direct to a diverse array of networked publics. Produced by and for its user-groups, ADTV (http://www.accessdorsetcentre.org) provides web-based peer support, information and lifestyle videos about their life experiences, events, social action projects and independent living. GEONET 
GEONET brings together academics and students working on issues of geographic space from across our faculties and departments at Bournemouth University.

Mapping Climate Change
This Project concerns young peoples’ (11-18) relationships to their local environment. Working alongside local and national environmental campaigns and charities, we will be building an interactive media platform that provides young people with a space to talk about local environmental features, concerns and campaigns. We will also be analysing the data that this platform creates.

Polis

Polis is a multidisciplinary project that explores ways of facilitating community engagement and urban coexistence. Using qualitative methods such as visual ethnography and interviewing, along with an extensive literature review, we are developing a conceptual model for the evaluation of civic interaction in public spaces, along with the production of prototypes, interventions and campaigns. Using digital media literacy and student projects, we are developing ways of utilising new information and communication technologies to facilitate creative engagement with the local community and the urban landscape.
